Error when trying to play non-quantized files (2012-02-29 05:52 by Richard #62533)

You have made an excellent program!

When I try to play a file that is not quantized, raw from recording, the program crashes with the following error message displayed:

Program error.
FUNC: SMIDILib::SMoutDevCtrl::SendShortMsg
LINE:328
INFO:00000007 00000000

I have played the normal, quantized files without any issues.

Many thanks.

Version used: MIDITrail-Ver.1.1.3 for Windows
System Specification: Windows 7, 64-bit version; AMD Hexacore processor, 6 GB of Installed memory, 1 GB display video card

Thank you for your message.

The error means that MIDITrail could not send the MIDI event to No.8 port,
because MIDITrail supports max 6 ports to MIDI OUT. (Port A,B,C,D,E,F)

However I think that MIDITrail should ignore the data and avoid clash.
I'm going to fix this bug.

Please check your MIDI data file, and reduse the number of ports up to 6.

Good day sir,

I have realized it could very well be a midi file problem. After going through some editing I have managed to play the files without altering the musical contents.

I made the following ticket, and I'm going to fix it in MIDITrail for Windows Ver.1.2.0.

#27725 Error occurs when the MIDI data contains the track with 6 or more port numbers.
