Please include a synth in the iOS app (2015-07-29 08:42 by offroadguy56 #76638)

So I've known about MIDI Trail for a few years now and I've just now found out that there's an iOS app. I am very happy that this exists now however I am also saddened that we need to purchase a secondary app in order to get MIDI Trail to work.

Is it at all possible to get a built in synth in MIDI Trail for iOS?
Is there a problem with the copyrights or ToS?
Or is it just a programming challenge that requires a lot of patience to overcome?

For whatever the reason I hope that the app can work on its own. I wouldn't mind paying a few dollars for a self contained app that will play my MIDI music.

If I have to have extra devices with me just to play MIDI music then I won't bother. And if I'm sending MIDI data over the network the only thing that can receive it is my computer then at which point I won't need my phone anymore.

Sorry for the late reply.
You can use the internal wavetable synthesizer in MIDITrail Ver.1.2.0 or later.
Please check following manual.

http://miditrail.osdn.jp/iOS/HELP.en.html
5. Setting
(3) MIDI OUT Device
(4) Internal Wavetable Synthesizer

MIDITrail's internal synthesizer is implemented very simply and has poor performance.
Depending on the wavetable file, the sound may not be output correctly.
